Equity and Access

The Chief of Equity and Access for San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools works to enhance our countywide school systems so each and every student can be successful academically, socially and emotionally. Through the lens of educational equity, organizational practices of teaching and learning are aligned through a framework that benefits all students by using specific data and educational resources to inform decision-making. The work of Equity and Access is to continue to engage and strengthen partnerships with all stakeholders to align organizational values, behaviors and mindset inclusive of all cultures. By addressing systemic educational inequity, SBCSS believes we can continue to improve upon a county culture that values the diverse backgrounds of all students and see differences as assets to the learning environment rather than obstacles to overcome to teach them.
