San Bernardino County School Boards Association

San Bernardino County School Boards Association (SBCSBA) is an active association of school board members throughout San Bernardino County.

The Executive Committee meets approximately six times per year to discuss common issues and plan events for the full association membership. Additionally, SBCSBA supports the activities, events and conferences of the California School Boards Association, a statewide association of nearly 1,000 school districts and county offices of education.

Three full membership meetings are scheduled throughout the year. The Fall Joint meeting, held in October, is presented in collaboration with the Riverside County School Board Members. SBCSBA holds its Annual Meeting on the last Monday in January during which elections of officers and area directors are held. Together with San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools, SBCSBA presents the Spring Awards program each April. The annual event honors recipients of the Education Medal of Honor and the Distinguished Service Award.

SBCSBA also sponsors training for effective governance. It offers the "Boardsmanship" training series of four workshops every two years.
