Legislative Services

The Intergovernmental Relations (IGR) team serves as a liaison between San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools (SBCSS) and all city, county, state, and federal elected officials representing the County. The legislative team provides an array of services for both the organization and all county elected officials.

Elected Official Boundary Maps

Intergovernmental Relations looks to keep the education community updated on changes made to elected official areas of operation. One way this is accomplished is through the Elected Official Boundary Maps. These maps are created using Esri technology to give viewers the most up to date information on service areas and boundary lines.

Elected Official Engagement

IGR works with elected officials throughout San Bernardino County, California and nationally to build relationships and develop thoughtful education policy for students, families and communities. To maintain and strengthen connections with elected officials, the IGR team actively interacts with them through events, newsletters, conferences, correspondence, and various advocacy opportunities.

IGR Connect Newsletter

Whether it be local backpack giveaways, internship opportunities or resource fairs, elected officials continuously look for ways to connect with community members. One way the IGR team keeps the public informed of these resources and opportunities is through the IGR Connect Newsletter. The newsletter highlights events organized by elected officials across the County, providing families, staff and education partners the opportunity to get involved and stay informed.
