Ted Alejandre, County Superintendent

The primary function of San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools (SBCSS) is to serve as an intermediary agency between the California Department of Education and the 33 school districts in San Bernardino County. The main objective is to address the educational needs of all children throughout the County by collaborating with school personnel, families, education partners, and the larger community. SBCSS provides a range of services, information and leadership to support and enhance the educational experience of students. We work closely with school districts to ensure they have the resources and support necessary to provide high-quality education to all students in a fair and equitable manner. We also strive to foster innovation and inspire educational practices that are engaging and impactful.
