- 13 young people ages 10-24 die from homicide each day.
- For youth ages 10-24, homicide is the second leading cause of death.
- 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 20 boys in the United States experience child sexual abuse.
- 1 in 7 children have experienced abuse and neglect in the last year.
- Rates of child abuse and neglect are 5 times higher for families with low socio-economic status.
