Local Control and Accountability Plan

As part of the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF), school districts, county offices of education and charter schools are required to develop, adopt and annually update a three-year Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP). The current plan started July 1, 2021.

The LCAP is required to identify goals and measure progress for student subgroups across multiple performance indicators. The LCAP is a critical part of LCFF. Each local education agency must engage parents, educators, employees, and the community to establish the plan.

The Student Services Alternative Education plan describes the overall vision for students, annual goals and specific actions SBCSS takes to achieve the vision and goals. The LCAP focuses on ten areas identified as state priorities and demonstrates how the budget helps achieve the goals. The LCAP is assessed each year to determine how the annual goals improved outcomes.
