Captain Leland F. Norton Elementary (Norton ES) in the San Bernardino City Unified School District has been named one of five 2026 California Green Ribbon Schools (CA-GRS) Green Achievers by State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond, the program’s highest honor.

The San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools (SBCSS) Children Deserve Success (CDS) team brought holiday joy to nearly 200 students experiencing homelessness in San Bernardino County.
