ASIST aims to increase participants' willingness, confidence, and capacity to engage in effective suicide intervention, including developing safety plans and connecting individuals with further support. Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) is a suicide prevention training program designed to teach individuals how to recognize the warning signs of suicide, ask someone directly about their suicidal thoughts, persuade them to seek help, and refer them to appropriate resources. It provides practical skills for intervening in a crisis and connecting individuals to the support they need.
LivingWorks safeTALK is a half-day suicide prevention training program that aims to create awareness and provide participants with the skills to recognize individuals who may be having thoughts of suicide. The training emphasizes the importance of open communication and teaches participants to identify signs, engage with the person, and connect them to appropriate resources. SafeTALK focuses on fostering a supportive environment to help prevent suicide and encourage discussions about mental health.
Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) is a training course designed to teach individuals how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health challenges or crises in youth. The program provides participants with the skills to offer initial support and connect young people experiencing mental health issues with appropriate professional help.
