7501 - Personal and Real Property Titles

Per California Education Code Section 1042(c), the County Board of Education may acquire, lease, lease-purchase, hold and convey real property for the purpose of housing the offices and the services of the County Superintendent of Schools.ˇ Title to all real property shall be recorded at the County Recorder?s office in the name of the San Bernardino County Board of Education and kept in a fire proof safe controlled by the Director of Internal Business.

All other property, not defined as real property, shall be considered personal property and shall be deemed property of the County Superintendent of Schools.ˇ Personal property shall be acquired, maintained, and disposed of in a manner consistent with state and federal regulations and SBCSS policies.
