5126 - Student Activity Projects and Awards

The Office of the County Superintendent of Schools may sponsor a variety of Countywide student activities.

Expenditures Authorized

The following expenditures are authorized student activities:

1. Admissions for participants, volunteers, and supervisors
2. Meals for participants, volunteers, and supervisors
3. Lodging for participants, volunteers, and supervisors
4. Registration for participants, volunteers, and supervisors
5. Incentives and awards for participants, volunteers, and supervisors
6. Transportation for participants, volunteers, and supervisors
7. Rental of facilities for housing activity, or other reward activity
8. Other authorized expenditures expressly approved by the County Superintendent of Schools

Student Awards

The County Superintendent of Schools recognizes that Student Services students may be given awards for excellence subject to the following limitations:

1. The award may be given in the form of a plaque, trophy, ribbon, certificate, merchandise or scholarship award not to exceed a value of $200.
2. The total cost of an individual award shall not exceed two hundred ($200) unless a larger amount is expressly approved by the County Superintendent of Schools.
