4000 - Special Organization of the 4000 Series

The Personnel Series of the Policies/Procedures Manual is divided into the following sections: 4000, 4100, 4200 and 4300. Policies and Procedures listed in the 4000 series are applicable to all personnel. Those in the 4100 series apply to certificated employees. The 4200 series applies to classified employees. The 4300 series applies to management and confidential employees.

To locate a subject in the 4000 series, first look under the term and reference the respective classification number that coincides with each defined group. Example: The policy pertaining to Personnel Records is the same for all employee groups. Therefore, all three series numbers appear at the top of each policy or procedure in the upper right-hand corner.
