4300 - Management And Confidential Employees Defined

“Management Employees,” as designated by the County Superintendent of Schools, means any employee in a position having significant responsibilities for formulating employer policies or administering employer programs, and who have been legally designated as management by the County Superintendent of Schools.

Management positions will be designated as certificated or classified in accordance with law. Management employees serving in a certificated position are required by law to possess a valid California Administrative Credential.

“Confidential Employees,” are designated by law or the County Superintendent of Schools, include classified personnel in the Personnel Office and secretarial personnel assigned to and supervised by the County Superintendent of Schools or a division head.

Management and confidential employees shall receive a written summary of existing policies related to compensation and benefits. Changes to those conditions may be made when deemed appropriate by the County Superintendent of Schools and shall be deemed implemented upon written notification to management and/or confidential employees by the County Superintendent of Schools.
