4120.2, 4220.2 - Work Experience Student Employees

Work Experience Students may be hired by the County Superintendent of Schools Office in cooperation with neighboring school districts or our own County Schools Work Experience Program.

Work Experience Students may continue to work during the summer before and after graduation. However, eligibility to be employed as a Work Experience Student expires on the first day a high school student is not enrolled in at least a minimum day or a college student is not enrolled full time (minimum of 12 semester units or 16 quarter units). Both high school and college students may work during the summer following graduation during which the work experience student will be eligible to work until August 31.

Rates of compensation for services rendered shall be set by the County Superintendent of Schools.
