4117.2, 4217.2, 4317.2 - Resignation
Any employee resignation shall be expressed in writing as a letter of resignation. Letters of resignation should be addressed to the County Superintendent of Schools and directed to Human Resources. The employee shall specify the effective date of resignation, which will be the last working day, and the County Superintendent of Schools or designee may approve this date.
The County Superintendent of Schools, or, in his/her absence, a division head, may accept the resignation and fix its effective date.
Prior to separating from the organization, the employee shall complete an Equipment Return Checklist and an Exit Interview Form as verified and signed by the immediate supervisor and human resources, respectively.
