4113, 4213, 4313 - Inclement Weather

Employees of the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools will not be granted leave for inclement weather unless approved by the County Superintendent of Schools or designee. Leave granted under these circumstances will not be counted against an employee’s available leave.

In all other circumstances, if emergency road conditions exist, supervisors should exercise sound judgement and may elect to release employees, or employees may request to be released; however, employees must utilize Personal Necessity Leave, Vacation or may elect to take Leave Without Pay.

In circumstances other than emergency road conditions, supervisors and employees should exercise sound judgement. At all times the welfare and safety of the employee should be considered.
