4013.1 - Charitable Events

San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools appreciates the efforts of charitable agencies and shall, whenever possible, provide support to legally recognized, non-political, non-religious charities according to the following criteria:

  1. Printed materials advertising charitable events will be provided to Personnel Services for distribution and posting in the break rooms of the main offices in each region.
    • These materials, such as fliers and posters, will be provided by the charitable agency.
    • Communication materials must include a contact name and phone number.
  2. Individuals who wish to donate to the charitable event will be informed to contact the agency for details and further information.
  3. Individuals who participate in any charitable event will do so on their personal time. Employees can communicate their volunteer efforts to SBCSS staff by submitting information to the Communications department for inclusion in the employee newsletter when appropriate.

SBCSS will continue to provide the current level of support to the Children’s Fund, Child Assistance Fund, American Cancer Society’s Daffodil Days, American Red Cross’ Orchids Across America and the United Way’s Combined Giving Campaign.
