3313 - Equipment Maintenance Agreements
When purchasing or leasing equipment, it is the responsibility of the requesting department to determine whether an item of equipment should be covered under a maintenance agreement or be repaired as needed. The cost of the agreement needs to be evaluated in relation to the estimated cost of “as needed” repair and perhaps replacement of the equipment. The Purchasing/Contracts staff is available to assist in making this decision.
