2115 - Special Education Local Planning Area (SELPA) Administration

The County Superintendent of Schools assumes responsibility as the Responsible Local Agency (RLA) for three Special Education Local Plan Areas (SELPA’s).

An administrator has been designated as the primary educational leader in each of the county’s three Special Education Local Plan Areas (SELPA’s). The administrator has supervision responsibilities for employees working for the Responsible Local Agency (RLA) in each of the regions.

Each SELPA is governed by a Special Education Local Plan as approved by the governing members of each region.
