Concepts and Roles
The San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools (SBCSS) desires to represent the community and provide leadership in addressing community issues related to public education. In order to enlist support for schools and facilitate collaborative relationships, the County Superintendent shall establish effective two-way communication systems.
The County Superintendent has established policies, procedures and protocols to stimulate better understanding of the role, services, objectives, priorities and accomplishments of the organization. Such procedures and protocols may include, but are not limited to, identification of the spokesperson(s) authorized to speak to the media on behalf of the County Superintendent, strategies for coordinating communications efforts and activities and legal requirements pertaining to the public’s right to access records.
