Assignment Monitor and Review

Education Code 44258.9

As the Monitoring Authority for San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools (SBCSS), the Credential Services department oversees and processes annual assignment monitoring for Local Education Agencies (LEA) within San Bernardino County. This process is completed utilizing the California Statewide Assignment Accountability System (CalSAAS) created by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) and the California Department of Education (CDE).

Annually, our office reviews all certificated assignments at school districts, and all teaching assignments at county charter schools.

Administrator’s Assignment Manual

The Administrator’s Assignment Manual (AAM) is a resource that guides an LEA when assigning certificated employees according to legislative and regulatory requirements. This document is maintained by CTC and may be updated at any time.

To find the most recent version of the Administrator’s Assignment Manual, please visit CTC’s Manuals and Handbooks webpage.
