College and Career Success Programs
The College and Career Success Programs (CCSP) are dedicated to supporting San Bernardino County districts, schools, and community partners in preparing every student for success in their post-secondary journey. By working collaboratively with these groups, CCSP ensures that the resources and services developed meet the diverse needs of the community. The department also houses the RIMS AVID team that supports the AVID College Readiness System implementation for all contracting districts and charters in the county.
CCSP supports districts and schools through the following:
Professional Learning
CCSP provides professional learning opportunities by highlighting promising practices and systems that support success in college and career readiness. These opportunities are designed to equip educators with the knowledge and tools needed to enhance student outcomes.
Networks
CCSP offers professional networks that provide a collaborative space for educators to engage in meaningful discussions on topics relevant to their field. These networks foster a community of practice where professionals can share insights, strategies, and solutions.
This includes the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools Counselor Network (SBCSSCN), which provides collaboration, professional development, and a platform to cultivate the counselor's role in supporting students to thrive in their matriculation from pre-kindergarten to post-secondary transitions. The SBCSSCN actively seeks and disseminates information relevant to counselors/educators and provides a forum for counselors to discuss successful techniques and strategies to implement in supporting all students.
Custom Support Services
CCSP works directly with school sites and districts to develop and deliver customized support aligned with their specific goals. This tailored approach ensures that each district and school receives the unique assistance they need to achieve their objectives. CCSP is committed to ensuring that every student in San Bernardino County has the opportunity to thrive in their academic and career pursuits.
