Dual Language Immersion

Dual Language Immersion (DLI) is language learning and academic instruction for native speakers of English and native speakers of another language. The goals of dual language immersion programs are language proficiency, academic achievement in students' first and second languages, and cross-cultural understanding. This program is typically found in kindergarten through grade eight but may be offered through grade twelve.

Dual Language Immersion Leadership Network

The DLI Leadership Network is a group that shares evidence-based practices and discusses triumphs and challenges as they implement DLI programs. Participants receive the latest updates from the California Department of Education as well as legislative updates affecting the education of DLI students. This network is being facilitated in collaboration with Riverside County Office of Education.
