Internal Business Services

Internal Business Services functions as the business office for San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools (SBCSS). Areas of responsibility include all business functions involving the organization such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fiscal management reporting functions for more than 200 programs within the SBCSS.

The department is also responsible for developing and managing the budgets for all funds of SBCSS. The budgeted expenditures are developed using input from budget managers for each program and grant, while revenues are projected based on the governor’s proposed state budget and information from the federal government on federal grant programs. Managing the budget includes analysis of the expenditures and revenues of each program and grant. Budget interim reports are presented to the County Board of Education at regularly scheduled meetings.
