Retirement Services

Retirement Services operates as the intermediary unit between school districts in San Bernardino County, school employees, California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), and California State Teachers Retirement System (CalSTRS). Retirement Services audits monthly payroll reports for proper coding and deduction of required contributions. In addition, the retirement unit provides services in the following areas: legislative updates, purchase/redeposit of retirement service credit, monitoring membership qualification, retiree earnings, assistance processing retirement forms for membership, and correcting service credit, amongst other tasks.
