SBCSS Strategic Plan
San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools (SBCSS) Strategic Plan serves as a beacon to the organization through the continuously evolving landscape of education. SBCSS embarked on its strategic planning journey in 2010 to redefine its purpose as an organization. Through the engagement of various education partners, SBCSS assembled a diverse planning team comprised of staff, community and faith-based representatives, business and labor leaders, parents, and students to define the organization's mission, core beliefs and aspirational objectives.
Through this journey, six key strategies were identified in the areas of Leadership, Education, Technology, Communication, Family and Community, and Wellness. Currently, there are 21 dynamic initiatives within these strategies which guide SBCSS in achieving the Strategic Plan’s visionary objectives.
The Strategic Plan continues to evolve to ensure it is innovative, comprehensive and relevant to best serve the students, families, school districts, and communities in San Bernardino County and to fulfil the SBCSS mission of transforming lives through education.
